Jackson Fork Percherons: A Breed Apart.
With a championship lineage that includes back-to-back World Congress wins in 2010 and 2011 at Calgary’s Six Horse Hitch competition, a coveted finalist position in the North American Classic Series, and being crowned as North American Classic Series World Champions in 2020, 2022 and 2023, the Jackson Fork Ranch Percheron program has built a prize-winning herd of registered Percheron champions. That tradition of excellence has been the foundation for Jackson Fork Ranch’s Percheron breeding program, which includes breeding many of the mares in the champion hitch to have future champions on the Ranch in Wyoming.
On New Year’s Day 2013, our Percherons marched in the world-famous Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California, pulling a Jackson Fork Ranch wagon custom made for us by Hansen Wagon Works of South Dakota. To be asked to play a part in an event as celebrated and historic as the Rose Parade is a point of tremendous pride for all of us at Jackson Fork Ranch. In 2023, the Jackson Fork Ranch Percheron hitch hauled Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon to the state capital during his inauguration in 2023.
The nobility and beauty of these animals is awe-inspiring, and we were delighted to be able to share them with the world.
When the team is not attending national shows, guests of the ranch are able to experience these horses while staying with us. Guests will be able to view the daily operations involved and tour the horse facility on the ranch.
